Hi, I’m Max,

Welcome to this site and welcome to Gusty Kiting! Kitesurfing is my great passion, just like giving kite lessons. I love it every time someone gets infected with the kite virus. I started Gusty Kiting in 2022, and since then, the organization has grown, and we now work in a fun, professional team.

If you want to start kitesurfing or improve your kite skills, Gusty Kiting kitesurfing school is the right place for you. We are a team of professional instructors who ensure you learn kitesurfing well, quickly, and safely. At our school we provide kitesurfing lessons and courses based on the principles of IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization). IKO is the largest and leading international kitesurfing organization, guaranteeing the latest surfing techniques and the best safety procedures.

GUSTY KITING

Gusty Kiting is located at the beautiful St. Joris Bay. You will encounter flat, shallow spots with consistent winds which are perfect for learning, but it also has great circumstances for more experienced kite surfers.

  • Is your own kite broken? We repair almost every kite, bladder and valve.

  • You don’t have to bring anything but a towel, swimwear, sunscreen (also present on the spot) and of course an excellent mood.

  • We provide a drink after the kite lesson! The bar at the kite beach belongs to Gusty Kiting.

St. Joris Bay

LOCATION

St. Joris Bay – Curaçao

You will find Gusty Kitesurfing school on the St. Joris Bay. This is located on the northeast side of Curaçao.

The St. Joris Bay is the by far best kitesurf spot on the island. The wind has an average speed of 17-22 knots, over 300 days per year. The best wind season is from January to August, but there is also plenty of kitesurfing from September to December.

However, during this period, when there is less wind, we sometimes need to reschedule for the next day.

DIRECTION OF GUSTY KITING

By car
Gusty Kiting surf school is approximately 15 kilometres from the centre of Willemstad. You will find the St. Joris Bay by following the signs to Ostrich Farm. If you drive all the way to the end of this road, it turns into a dirt road. Gusty kiting is on the left side of the bay.
